How to overcome stage fright



How to deal with your fear of stage? As I said before, our organism takes care of us and give us signals which can help to understand that the situation is stressful.

I'm the person who can't be calm in front of the audience, but there are some useful tips to overcome your stage fright. I read them in the course book and realized that I used some of them before. Let me present three tips which help me a lot. 

The first thing you need to do is dressing up. Choose the right clothes. It should be comfortable and convenient for your presentation. The correct clothes help you to be confident, it can be used as your armor.

The second one is making yourself laugh. It really works! I've heard that smiling can deceive our brain. Put on your smile and it makes your brain believe that you're happy this moment. Then your brain will produce the endorphin (the hormone of happiness) and your body become to calm down.

The third thing which can help you to overcome your fright is eating happy food. Food is our helper not only when we feel hunger, but when we feel stressed too. Happy food also can help you produce the endorphins like smiling. It helps you to relax, but you should be careful with the dose of this happiness. Eating too much sugar can also make you uncomfortable during your speech.
